U Hla Moe Aung graduated master degree majoring Geology from Mandalay University in 2004. Firstly, he was a primary teacher in Shwebo township in 2003. Secondly, he became a demonstrator at Lashio College in 1998. Then, he transferred to Mandalay University in 1999. In 2003, he changed from teaching staff to administration staff. Therefore he transferred to Lashio Degree College as a assistant registrar. He transferred several universities such as Panlong University, Banmaw University, Mandalay University of Distance Education. Currently, he is working at Yangon University of Foreign Languages as a head of department (academic affairs).


The Function of Academic Affairs

The Academic Branch is composed of five main units namely Students’ Affairs Unit, Students’ Hostel Unit, Exam and Graduation/ Validation Unit, University Library and Sport Unit which are staffed by total of seven officials and twelve staffs together with one non-permanent staff to function the routine works of the Academic Branch.

Another major task of the Academic Branch is to prepare the MOU/MOAs signed between the YUFL and other foreign universities or institutions. Besides, the Students Service Center (SSC) which is newly established center since 2012 is also serving to fulfill the needs of students as quickly as possible.
Apart from formal graduate programs, such certificate courses as Basic Level, Intermediate Level and Advanced Level are being offered under the program of Center for Human Resource Development on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These certificate courses relating to language proficiency are offered in two shits – morning and evening shit. To provide more opportunities for learners, certificate programs and classes are also opened on every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
